Take responsibility for your experience.

Sometimes shit happens. Sometimes things don’t go to plan. People are late. Targets are missed. Cars break. Planes are delayed. Baggage is lost. Friends let you down. Investments crash. It’s inevitable that we are going to meet these kinds of experiences over the course of our lives.

And while you may not always be in control of your circumstances (A.K.A. what you’re experiencing) you are always responsible for how you experience your experiences. When we spend our days blaming people or circumstances for our funky vibes and bad moods, we’re giving away our power. When we take back the responsibility for our inner landscape, we are free to choose.

In other words, bad things might happen, but we don’t have to feel bad about it. Shitty, sad, frustrating things may happen. But more often than not, you can choose to rise above it. Shrug it off. Smile your way through it. Laugh if you can. Take it with a grain of salt. Zoom out. Take a breath.

Because your mood, your vibe and the flavour of your experience is determined by the one and only Y-O-U. Take back ownership of your experience and you realise that your experience is entirely up to you.
