Some Answers Can Only Be Found On The Inner Net

Trouble trusting yourself? Stuck in a cycle of regret and self-doubt? Chances are that you’re not tuned into and connected with your intuition. As Osteopathic Doctor Habib Sadeghi puts it in his book Within, “the solutions to our problems are intuitive in nature, not intellectual. The power we possess through our connection to universal consciousness far exceeds our intellect, and we access it through the practice of meditation.” In other words, forget the information highway, we’re headed to the intuition superhighway. Because some answers can only be found on the inner net, yo.

When we make all of our decisions from the intellect we can get stuck in a whirlpool of information, opinions (of others) and quite often, fear. There’s value in knowing “the facts” but there is a vastness and depth to your intuitive ability that offers you solutions your mind could never point you to. As Clarissa Pinkola Estés puts it, “over-intellectualization can obscure the patterns of the instinctual nature of women.” And men, for that matter. So we must cultivate and encourage and be dutiful custodians our instinctual nature. Bottom line: intuition trumps information. 

Meditation is one of the most essential keys to accessing more of our inner knowing, our instinctual Self. Through meditation we awaken to the awe, intelligence, wisdom, divinity, beauty, majesty, that already resides within us. By making space for meditation in our day we are inviting intuition back into our life, and by meditating regularly we are showing up daily to receive the gifts of our wild, knowing, intuitive nature.

What this translates to in a practical sense is more trust in ourselves and less self-doubt. Which makes decision making almost effortless. When we are aligned with our intuition, the answers just come. We don’t need to over-analyze and nail-bite and flip-flop and debate pros-and-cons and hem-and-haw, because we JUST KNOW. The day to day dilemmas, questions and challenges are reconciled with ease.
