A prayer to release the day.

I forgive the ways in which I did not rise today.

I bless my mistakes.
I release the need to account for supposed wrong doings.

I grant pardon to the moments when I strayed from presence
and wandered my attention away from what and who matters most.

I use my breath to wipe away my worries,
so that I might quiet my mind and rest well.

I celebrate the moments of the day
when I was of service
when I was brave
when I was present.

I underline the tiny victories
of vulnerability and courage.

I sift through and select the sweetest moments,
press them into my heart for safe keeping.

I recommit myself to rising higher tomorrow.
To making opportunities out of my mistakes.
To believing in myself again.

I shed this day like
the skin it is.

A container for this momentary expression
of who I am.

So I can slide,
naked and free
into the next incarnation of me.
